Studio Tim Teven Designs Bespoke Furniture Collection for Gentle Monster's Haus Nowhere Headquarters in Seoul
The Eindhoven-based studio contributed custom desks, modular storage systems and meeting tables across seven office floors of the IICOMBINED group's new 14-storey building in Seongsu-dong.
Studio Tim Teven has completed a bespoke furniture commission for Haus Nowhere Seoul, the new headquarters of IICOMBINED, parent company of Gentle Monster and its affiliated brands Tamburins, Atiisu, Nudake and Nuflaat.
The building, located in Seongsu-dong, Seoul, was developed in collaboration with architecture firms IICOMBINED and The System Lab. Studio Tim Teven worked directly with Gentle Monster's in-house space design team, which was responsible for the interior concept.
The commission spans seven office floors and comprises custom desks, modular storage systems and meeting tables. Each piece reflects the material-driven and experimental approach that defines the studio's practice, while addressing the practical demands of a working headquarters environment. Functional integration is built into the design throughout: cable management, adjustable shelving and built-in storage are incorporated directly into the pieces, supporting the collaborative and dynamic nature of the workspace.
The project tests how a strong material identity can be held consistently across an entire headquarters at scale. By bridging artisanal production methods with the requirements of a large commission, Studio Tim Teven demonstrates that the individuality and tactile quality of its work need not be compromised by the volume or function of a corporate setting.
